Bird watching Tour (Ornithological tour)
Nepal is a paradise for birds lovers and ornithologists with over 848 species (8% of the world total) of birds. And among them almost 500 species are found in the Kathmandu valley alone. The most popular bird watching spots in Kathmandu are Phulchoki, Godavari, Nagarjun, Bagmati River, Taudaha and so on. Get your binocular and look forward to a rewarding
experience. The best time for bird watching is March and December.

Royal Chitwan National Park is one of the favorites for bird watching in Nepal, which offers 450 species of birds. Among the endangered birds are the Bengal florican, Giant horn bill, Lesser florican, black stork and white stork. Common birds seem in the park include the peafowl, red jungle fowl, and different species of egrets, herons, kingfishers, fly catchers, and wood peckers. Moreover, more than 45 species of amphibians and reptiles are visible in the park.

Royal Bardia National Park offers Bengal florican, lesser florican, silver-eared mesia, Saurus crane and other common birds of nature. Shey Phoksundo National Park is equally rich in many species of birds such as the impeyan pheasant (danphe- the national bird of Nepal), blood pheasant, cheer pheasants, red and yellow billed cough, raven, jungle crow, snow partridge and many others. Rara National Park offers Resident Gallinaceous birds and migrant waterfowl are of interest to park visitors. The great -crested grebe, black-necked grebe and red crested pochard are seemed during winter. Other common birds are the snow cough, chukor patridge, impeyan pheasant, Kalij pheasant and blood pheasant.

Makalu Barun National Park and Conservation Area offers over 400 species of birds which includes two species of bird never before seem in Nepal- the spotted wren babbler and the olive ground warbler. Royal Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve offers over 200 species of birds. Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve offers 280 species of birds, which include 20 species of ducks, 2 species of ibises, many storks, egrets, herons and the endangered swamp patriadge and Bengal florican.

Day 01
Upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport, welcome by our representative & transfer to your hotel.
Day 02
Sightseeing of Kathmandu city, Swayambhunath, Museum and Patan city.
Day 03
Sightseeing around Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Bhaktapur.
Day 04
Full day bird & butterfly watching in Phulchowki (2759m), & Godavari Royal Botanical Garden.
Day 06
Drive from Kathmandu to Koshi Tappu, Biratnagar. Evening bird, butterfly & dolphin watching.
Day 07
Full day bird, butterfly & dolphin exploring activities on foot and in boats in Koshi Tappu.
Day 08
Drive from Koshi Tappu to Chitwan for 9-10 hrs through the beautiful landscapes. Evening jungle activities in Chitwan. Evening enjoy Tharu cultural programmes.
Day 09
Whole day jungle activities in Chitwan National Park including jungle walk, elephant ride, canon ride, village visit and explore the jungle on foot and jeeps for birds viewing, butterfly watching. In the evening enjoy a cultural dance performed by local villagers.
Day 10
Full day jungle activities like jungle walk, canon ride, bird watching, nature walk etc.
Day 11
Drive from Chitwan to the Bardia National Park. Evening jungle activities.
Day 12
Full day Jungle activities including elephant back safari, nature walks, jungle drive, bird watching and trekking in the Churia Hills to observe more birds. Overnight in the tented camp.
Day 13
Full day jungle activities with cultural visits to Tharu village, Gangetic dolphin viewing, rafting in the Karnali river. In the evening Tharu (ethnic tribe) cultural performance.
Day 14
Drive to Nepalgunj for about 2 hrs then fly to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.
Day 15
Free day in Kathmandu for shopping etc.
Day 16
Departure to onward destination.
Itinerary II

This package covers all major tourist destinations of Nepal including three major cities in Kathmandu i.e. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur & Patan. Rafting in the Trishuli River and a drive to Pokhara, one of the most picturesque cities of Nepal Enjoy sunrise over the Annapurna Range and the Fishtail Mountain including a rare combination of snow-clad mountains, crystal lakes, streams, villages inhabited by friendly ethnic tribes. Then we take you to the heart of the Royal Chitwan National Park. View the wild animals & wildlife in their natural habitat.

Another beautiful destination included in this package is Nagarkot, located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is situated at an altitude of 7,133 ft. above sea level. It is a year round holiday resort. The panorama of the major peaks of most of the eastern Nepal Himalayas, including Sagarmartha (Mt. Everest), can be seen from here. Besides this you can admire the breathtaking view of the sunset and the sunrise.

Itinerary:
Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02
Full day sightseeing in Boudhanath, Pashupatinath Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square with an English speaking tour guide.
Day 03
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, enroute rafting on Trisuli River. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 04
Visit Sarangkot hill for sunrise and half day sightseeing in Pokhara valley.
Day 05
Transfer to Royal Chitwan National Park (inside the park) for 3 Nights / 4 Days tour programs. At noon, Elephant ride, nature walk, slide show, Tharu stick dance in the evening & dinner.
Day 06
Tea/coffee, elephant ride/ bird watching, breakfast, canoe ride, elephant briefing, swimming and bath, lunch, elephant ride, nature walk, canoe ride, Tharu stick dance, slide show, and dinner.
Day 07
Wake up call, Tea/Coffee, Bird watching tour/elephant ride, elephant briefing, swimming and bath, canoe ride, lunch, jungle drive, elephant ride, canoe ride, slide show, Tharu stick dance and dinner.
Day 08
Morning free for packing, Breakfast and departure
Day 09
Arrive at Nagarkot hill station. Overnight at Nagarkot.
Day 10
Enjoy the sunrise from Nagarkot and transfer back to Kathmandu.
Day 11
Home departure.
