This trek is relatively different from the usual Everest circuit offering you the sound environment free from noise & crowd, besides, you get an ample opportunity to reach the summits of two trekking peaks including Gokyo Ri & Island Peak (6160m). These gives you a chance to observe a clearer & awe inspiring view of Mt. Everest than ever & its perspective of the surrounding Himalayan giants are astounding.

This region offers a fine settlements of Sherpa located in eastern Nepal. During trekking, we travel through the several small yak-grazing settlements, will definitely offer you a unique lifestyle & their rich cultural tradition.

The trail makes ascent to Island Peak where we will do a little technical climbing. There you are rewarded with the absolutely breath taking scenery that includes Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, & Ama Dablam.

Itinerary

Day 01: Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2804m), then trail begins with an easy walk to Phakding (2610m.).

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazar (3440m.).
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 05: Day for acclimatization at Namche Bazar for acclimatization & fine walk around the places. Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 06: Trek to Phortse Tenga (32Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 07: Trek to Machherma (4470m).
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo (4790m).
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 09: Hiking to Gokyo Ri, and back to Gokyo Lake.
Early in the morning with steep climb up to the top of Gokyo Ri (5483m), begins a day, providing you an ample chance to reward with natural beauty, is one attempt this trip. You see the stunning views of the supper Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as giants as Everest, Lhotse, Nutse, Makalu (8481m), Cho-Oyu (8153m) & Gychung Kang (7922m) can see very closely. This trek gives an ample opportunity to explore the glacier & Gokyo peak for those who are interested. This day is for acclimatization, so we return back to the camp in after noon.

Day 10: Trek to Thangna (foot of the Cho-La pass).

Day 11: Cross Cho-La pass (5330m), and trek down to Dzongla (4830m.).

Day 12: Trek to Labuje (4910m).
We have a fine walk to Labuje. Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 13: Trek to Ghorakshep (5140m). Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 14: Hiking to Kalapathar (5545m). Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 15: Trek to Everest base camp, & back to Ghorakshep for sleep.
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 16: Trek to Dingbuche (4410m). Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 17: Trek to Chhukung (4730m) -
Today, the trail offers an easy walking for the Chhukung valley.

Day 18: Hiking to Chhukung Ri (5546m).
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 19: This day 4 hours walking for Island base camp.
Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 20: This day set up the high camp for to attempt on the top for next day. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 21: This day submit on the top (6160m.), & stay overnight at Chhukung. Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 22: Trek to Tyangboche monastery.
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 23: Trek to Namche Bazar.
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 24: Trek to Lukla.
Overnight at Lodge. B. L. D.

Day 25: Morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla.
Overnight at hotel. B. B.

Day 26: Leisure day in Kathmandu (it's also spare day incase of bad weather in Lukla). Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Day 27: Transfer to Airport for your home departure. Farewell !!

Cost Includes

  • Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up & transfer by car / Van / Bus.
  • 4 nights accommodation with breakfast at deluxe hotel in Kathmandu as per above program.
  • Kathmandu City Tours as per above program, inclusive of all entry fees, tour guide, car / van.
  • Freshly cooked meals by our expert cook, and tea, coffee during the trek.
  • 1 highly experienced climbing guide, 1 cook, kitchen helpers, and required number of porters and their food, wages, equipments, insurance etc..(We have insured our staffs by Neco Insurance Company Nepal).
  • All camping gears including two men tent, dining tent, kitchen tent, toilet tents, mattresses.
  • Round Trip flight to & from Lukla & Domestic airport taxes in Kathmandu and Lukla.
  • First Aid medical kit.

  • Climbing permits
  • Garbage deposit US$ 250 (Refundable)
  • Any meals in Kathmandu other than breakfast.
  • Climbing equipments.
  • Travel insurance.
  • International air fare to and from Nepal.
  • Nepal Tourist Visa fee US$ 25 or equivalent foreign currency with multiple entry for 15 days, US$ 40 or equivalent foreign currency with multiple entry for 30 days. You may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Kathmandu.
  • Items of a personal nature
  • Any kind of alcoholic drinks, hot water, hot shower, cold drinks, laundry, phone call, internet.
  • Trekking Equipments (down sleeping bag and down jackets are available to hire or buy in Kathmandu, which would cost approximately US$ 1 per day per item to hire and US$ 60 to US$ 100 per item to buy).
  • Tips for guide, porters, driver.

    NOTE:     Tipping is expected but it is not mandatory.

  • 13.05.10 01:31Il trekking del Kanchenjunga è lungo e classificato difficile, ma l'ottima organizzazione di Nepal Trailblazer, la competenza e la capacità di Bikesh Rana ( la nostra guida ) e di tutto lo staff l'hanno reso un'esperienza bella ed indimenticabile.
    Tilak inoltre è stato un prezioso aiuto per risolvere i problemi sorti alla fine del trekking a causa dei voli sospesi nel periodo dell'eruzione del vulcano islandese, i quali ci hanno costretto a prolungare il soggiorno di altri quattro giorni.
    Sembra che in Nepal ci sia un detto che dice "mai viaggiare in tre [...]" e noi eravamo tre, abbiamo avuto qualche contrattempo ma tutto si è risolto per il meglio grazie all'impegno dell'agenzia di trekking.
    Ci sentiamo quindi di consigliare Nepal Trailblazer a chiunque voglia visitare questa magnifica nazione.
