One of the major & the most popular trekking peak in Nepal is possibly the Mera peak located to the south of Everest. The highlights of the trek are the charm of climbing Mera Peak & scenery of the densely forested hill side. The route crossing Ama Lapcha (5,780m) gives you some of the most adventurous trekking offering the spectacular scenery through remote glaciated valleys & passes.

Itinerary

Day 01: Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Chu Thanga (3200m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 04: Trek to Tengkharka (3600m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 05: Cross Chetrawa La Pass (5200m.) and trek down to CHETRAWA (4700m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 06: Trek to Kothe (3000m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 07: Trek to Khare (5035m).Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 08: Rest day. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 09: Mera High camp (5700m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 10: Summit Mera peak and back to Mera La Base Camp (5400m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 11: Trek to Rato odar (4800m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 12: Seto Pokhari (5100m.). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 13: Ama Lapcha Base Camp (5600m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 14: Ama Lapcha Cross (5845m) and trek to Chhukung. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 15: Trek to Dingbuche (4410m). Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 16: Trek to Tyangboche monastery. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazar. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 18: Trek to Lukla. Overnight at tented camp. B.L.D.

Day 19: Morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Day 20: Leisure day in Kathmandu (it's also spare day incase of bad weather in Lukla). Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Day 21: Transfer to Airport for your home departure. Farewell !!

Note: B.B> Bed and Breakfast, B.L.D> Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Cost Includes

  • Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up & transfer by car / Van / Bus.
  • 4 nights accommodation with breakfast at deluxe hotel in Kathmandu as per above program.
  • Kathmandu City Tours as per above program, inclusive of all entry fees, tour guide, car / van.
  • Freshly cooked meals by our expert cook, and tea, coffee during the trek.
  • 1 highly experienced climbing guide, 1 cook, kitchen helpers, and required number of porters and their food, wages, equipments, insurance etc..(We have insured our staffs by Neco Insurance Company Nepal).
  • All camping gears including two men tent, dining tent, kitchen tent, toilet tents, mattresses.
  • Round Trip flight to & from Lukla & Domestic airport taxes in Kathmandu and Lukla.
  • First Aid medical kit.
  • Sagarmatha National Park permit.
  • Government taxes.
  • Office Service charge.

Cost Excludes

  • Climbing permits
  • Garbage deposit US$ 250 (Refundable)Any meals in Kathmandu other than breakfast.
  • Climbing equipments.
  • Travel insurance.
  • International air fare to and from Nepal.
  • Nepal Tourist Visa fee US$ 25 or equivalent foreign currency with multiple entry for 15 days, US$ 40 or equivalent foreign currency with multiple entry for 30 days. You may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Kathmandu.
  • Items of a personal nature
  • Any kind of alcoholic drinks,  cold drinks, laundry, phone call, internet.
  • Trekking Equipments (down sleeping bag and down jackets are available to hire or buy in Kathmandu, which would cost approximately US$ 1 per day per item to hire and US$ 60 to US$ 100 per item to buy). 
  • Tips for guide, porters, driver.

    NOTE:     Tipping is expected but it is not mandatory.

The guides, porters, accommodation and food were fabulous. We were also treated to 21 days of blue skies and sunshine and 4 inches of snow, which made a beautiful place even better.   • 13.05.10 01:31Il trekking del Kanchenjunga è lungo e classificato difficile, ma l'ottima organizzazione di Nepal Trailblazer, la competenza e la capacità di Bikesh Rana ( la nostra guida ) e di tutto lo staff l'hanno reso un'esperienza bella ed indimenticabile.
    Tilak inoltre è stato un prezioso aiuto per risolvere i problemi sorti alla fine del trekking a causa dei voli sospesi nel periodo dell'eruzione del vulcano islandese, i quali ci hanno costretto a prolungare il soggiorno di altri quattro giorni.
    Sembra che in Nepal ci sia un detto che dice "mai viaggiare in tre [...]" e noi eravamo tre, abbiamo avuto qualche contrattempo ma tutto si è risolto per il meglio grazie all'impegno dell'agenzia di trekking.
    Ci sentiamo quindi di consigliare Nepal Trailblazer a chiunque voglia visitare questa magnifica nazione.
