Nepal Travel Visa

Visiting the magnificent reaches of Nepal is everyone's dream, and one which brings in roughly 800,000 tourists each year who are enthralled by its myriad sights and sounds. If you are thinking of making the same life-changing journey, then you need to obtain a travel visa for the country. Fortunately, this is an easy process which can be completed once you arrive, provided you meet certain criteria.

If you are an Indian national, you do not require a travel visa but must have appropriate documentation upon arrival such as a passport. Nationals from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will receive a free travel visa for 30 days which can be extended with a fee.

If you are a citizen of the following countries, then you will not be able to obtain a travel visa upon arrival and must apply for one via an embassy: Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan. However, citizens of other countries can obtain a visa upon arrival at the immigration section of Tribhuvan International Airport or the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan (for renewal) in Kathmandu.
