Day 2Fly to Pokhara; drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga

After breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, we will transfer you to the airport to board a 30-minute exciting flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival at Pokhara airport, our guide will pick you up and drive you to Nayapul (45 minutes, 1-hour car drive), where the trek starts!

From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m. After a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1525m. This trek offers a short and relatively easy day during the journey and allows us to become accustomed to the experience of trekking in Nepal. Overnight at the Guest House. B.L.D.

Day 3Trek to Ghorepani

Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with a steep climb to Ulleri, a large Magar village at 2070m. From there, the trail ascends more gently through fine forests of oak and rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Next, we continue our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. Finally, after an hour’s gentle walk from Nangethanti, we will reach Ghorepani at 2775m. Overnight at the Guest House. B.L.D.

We just returned from our trip to Nepal. The wonderful memories with our guide, driver and Bhairam at Nepal Hiking will remain in our heart forever. The trek in Annapurna was a bit hard for us; but our guide Chhabi was really kind, patient and understood our feelings. Without Nepal Hiking and the wonderful guide, our trek would be incomplete. The trek was perfectly organised. We are extremely satisfied and happy to recommend the organizer and the guide anyone visiting Nepal.

This is the third trek we’ve done with Nepal Hiking (previously also called Nepal Trailblazer Trekking) and once again it was a great adventure. It is also the third time Chhabi has been our guide and again he was a great guide and companion.

The highlights for us this time were:
– the trek through the rhododendron forest to and from Ghorepani, which is still lovely (although the steps up from Ulleri are not for the feint hearted!)
– a very pleasant stay at Chueli
– seeing langur monkeys close up on the way to Himalaya
– the spectacular views at Machhupachare and Annapurna Base Camps
– also great views and a comfortable lodge at Deurali (before Pothana) on the way back

Bhairam and Chhabi took care of organising the details of the trek and we were very happy with the results.

From the day my cousin and I were met at the airport in Kathmandu until the day we left Nepal our guide and porter made our trip a wonderful experience. All throughout our hike the staff at Nepal hiking made our comfort and safety their number one priority. We would highly recommend this trekking company to anyone contemplating a hiking trip to Nepal. Ask for our guide, Mr. Gakul and his porter uncle Gopi and you will not be disappointed.
