One of them is Pashupatinath, the world’s most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva. The Pashupati Nath temple is located on the bank of the Bagmati River in the eastern part of Kathmandu. You will visit another heritage site, “Boudhanath,” one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. It’s located about 11 km from Kathmandu’s centre and northeastern outskirts. The stupa’s massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal.
Another important cultural heritage site is Swoyambhunath, an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. People also know this place as the Monkey Temple, as holy monkeys live in the northwest parts of the temple.
