This 23 days fascinating trek offers an wonderful opportunity to climb Kalapathar (5,535m), overlooking the Everest Base Camp area, superb view of the highest mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu etc, and to interact with the indigenous people. This is considered as the highly praised trekking route to Everest Region. It was in 1952 when two renowed figures Sir Edmund Hillary and Mr. Tenzing Sherpa had taken the same route to Mt. Everest. After a seven hours scenic drive to Jiri, we follow spectacular route via Solukhumbu area through the heart of fine Sherpa villages, each village having something new to offer. It offers an ample chance to explore beautiful forest, farming country sides and several monasteries situated at high elevation on the way to Lukla. Once one has passed Lukla, we climb on to Namche, the main trading village of the Khumbu area continuing via Thyangboche monastery to Pherche and Lobuche.
The trek has got several numbers of attractions, chief of which are the spectacular scenery, the unique culture of the Sherpa people of the Solukhumbu, the region where Mt. Everest and its attendant lesser peaks are located.

Happy New Year!
I just want to express my thanks to you and your team for making my trekking tour to Nepal a great success. I have always been fascinated by high mountains, but at an age of 67, I think it is too late to start climbing. But to fulfill my dream, I decided to take the Classic Everest Trek from Jiri to Everest. With start Oct. 29 and ending Nov, 25, it was quite a long trek, but a trek I will strongly recommend. Even that the weather from Jiri to Lukla was not very good and the trekking trail is quite strenuous, I think you get a better impression of the daily life in the Himalayan area, than from Lukla up to Everest which are more touristic.
I want to thank Bhairam for meeting me in the airport and bringing me back after the trek and to Kevi (guide) and Raz (porter) for excellent service during the whole trek. Kevi understand that my main goal was to go as close to Everest as possible. He advised me all the way up and I managed Kala Pattar (5.550m) without any problems. I will never forget the beautiful view of Mount Everest early in the morning and I was really proud of myself for not giving up in the steep tracks. The trek back to Lukla was very relaxed and Kevi and I had more time to talk about the life up in the high mountains. Even if I could not talk to Raz in English, we could communicate with gestures and he also managed to serve me local wine before Lukla!
Finally I want to thank you, Tilak, for meeting me in the hotel after the trek and I want to say that I am very satisfied with your company and your staff and I will tell all my friends in Norway to contact you if they plan to go to Nepal. Myself I am quite sure I will travel back to Nepal in the future.

We have been with the Nepal Hiking for the second time now. The first time we’ve traveled to Tibet (private tour – Lhasa – EBC – back to Nepal by a Jeep). This year we did the classic Everest Base Camp Trekking Tour and an excursion to Pokhara and Chitwan. The whole tour was really awesome. The service was excellent. Tilak and Bhairam have organized our tour perfectly good. They are very kind, helpful and have never lost their professionalism. A big thank you also goes to our guide Chhabi and our porter Krishna on the trek. They are very kind, helpful, responsible, funny and always toke care of us. I can really say that I’m a fan of Nepal Hiking. If i would ever come back to Nepal, i want that my tour will be organized by Nepal Hiking again. I really appreciate it!
Thank you very much for those unforgettable moments !
It is my pleasure to talk about my guide “Ganga” who works for Nepal Hiking. He helped me and my wife during our Nepal trekking. With the help of Nepal Hiking and our great guide Ganga, we left Kathmandu on 12th March for the classic Everest trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp and back to Lukla (23 days). We are now in Kathmandu after more than 3 weeks wonderful trekking trip, and spending some days before going back home, and we are now emailing our friends and family and telling them about our great trip that we had in Everest with our guide. To speak about our guide in brief, he is an excellent guide, has been trained by Ministry of Tourism Nepal, good humor, and knows all aspects of Nepali life style, and culture.
Lastly, we highly recommend the excellent professional service and personal care of our guide during our trekking tour in the Everest Region.
We were very satisfied and Mr. Ganga made an excellent tribute to our holiday in Nepal
I have been home for about a week now. Everyday I think about the great time I had on the Classic Everest Trek. Before arriving in Kathmandu I was a little concerned about whether I had taken on something that was maybe too much for me. Once I was picked up at the airport and met some of your staff, my mind was put at ease. From the first day I was treated with respect. All my questions were answered and all my needs were met.
Once on the trail my safety and health were of primary importance to my guide Bhim, and my porter Narayan. Every morning they asked how I was feeling, if I had a headache, and how did I sleep. They said, ‘ If you’re happy, we’re happy.”
Bhim was a wealth of knowledge. Any questions I had about the people, animals, birds, plants, mountains, politics, or whatever, Bhim usually had an answer, and he was also eager to hear about my part of the world. Narayan’s greatest asset was his strength. He carried my pack up and down the hills everyday for 22 days with ease, sometimes carrying all my gear leaving me with nothing to do but enjoy the day.
I would not hesitate recommending these two employees to anyone wishing to have a fantastic holiday in Nepal.
Thank you Tilak, and all your staff for providing me with the trip of a lifetime. I also highly recommend the use of Nepal Hiking Agency.
