Namche Bazaar and its surroundings and the trekkers!
Namche Bazaar and its surroundings and the trekkers!

A short Trek from Lukla Airport to Namche and Tengboche monastery, also known as the Glimpse of Everest Trek, is comparatively easy compared to other treks in Everest Region. The trek takes you to Tengboche Monastery (3850m) through Namche Bazar, the gateway to Everest Base Camp. Although it is a short trek, it offers a very scenic trek giving you a superb view of the world’s highest peaks, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Amadablam and many other snowy peaks.

This trek gives a great introduction to the traditional culture of the local community in the Khumbu Region. The trek is best suited especially for those with little time for longer treks into the high mountains.

Solo Traveller

Dear Tilak,

I just returned home from my trek to Tengboche.

It was AMAZING, a magical experience!

Narayan is a wonderful, knowledgeable and trustworthy guide. During the trek, he ensured I was happy, comfortable, warm, well-fed and, most of all, safe. Anything I could want, he made sure it happened. He even took me to a bakery in Namche on my birthday and had a cake with candles and a birthday present. I’ll never forget my birthday and the time I spent on the Everest trail, all thanks to Narayan!

You are lucky to have a guide like Narayan under your employ.

Thank you for arranging such an enjoyable trek!

All the best,

10 March 2017
