So, this 7-day Yoga Retreats and hiking around the Kathmandu valley tour would be ideally a perfect destination for Yoga gazing with Majestic Mountains, scenery, landscapes, and many more. It is not far from Kathmandu but feels miles away from the city area.

What to Expect

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Our office staff will welcome you and transfer you to hotel Kathmandu Suite Home or a nearby hotel of similar standard (served with breakfast on the 2nd day).

Day 2Trek to Nagarkot

After breakfast (8 am), we will introduce you to your guide; then you will drive to Jarsing Pouwa (1 hour) and 3 hours trek to Nagarkot. In the evening, your Yoga guide will instruct you in yoga practice and spend the night at hotel Niva Niwa or similar (served with dinner and breakfast ).

Day 3Trek to Dhulikhel

Enjoy the sunrise and spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges and practice yoga with your instructor. After breakfast, enjoy 6 hour trek to Dhulikhel. In the evening, enjoy the sunset view and join a yoga session. And spend the night at hotel Himalaya Horizon served with dinner and breakfast.

Day 4Trek to Namo Buddha

Enjoy the sunrise and Himalayan views, and after breakfast, you will trek to Namo Buddha (3 hours) through 1000 steps trail and Kavre Bhanjyang.

In the evening, join the prayer ceremony with the monks in the Namo Buddha monastery and dine with them. Then, spend the night at the guest house owned by the monastery management (they will serve you local meals and breakfast).

Day 5Trek to Balthali

Join the prayer ceremony with the monks in the morning, and after breakfast, you will trek to Balthali (3 hours) and spend the night at Balthali Village Resort (dinner and breakfast included).

Day 6Return to Kathmandu

In the morning, join a yoga session with your instructor; then make the village tour or hike for an hour to the hillside. After breakfast, take an easy walk to Khopasi village; then you will drive back to Kathmandu through Panauti village (45 k.m / 2 hours drive). And the night in Kathmandu you will spend at Kathmandu Suite Home or nearby hotel of similar standard (served with breakfast).

Day 7Departure

Car transfer to the airport is included. Thus, a staff from Nepal Hiking will arrange a car for your transfer to the airport (At least you should be at the airport 2 hours earlier to boarding time for your international flight). End of happy tours!

So I searched for a yoga package, found the Nepal Hiking website online, and joined this amazing trip to Nepal. I practised yoga every day and explored the beautiful country. It was so much fun!

Sudan and Gakul, our guides and yoga teachers, know a lot about their country and yoga philosophy. So they were able to adapt to our expectations. The walking rhythm was perfect.
