- Chomolungma (ཇོ་མོ་གླང་མ): The mountain also has a Tibetan name, “Chomolungma”, which translates to “Mother Goddess of the World.”
Whether you refer to it as Sagarmatha, Chomolungma, or Mount Everest, they all indicate the same magnificent peak that stands as the tallest mountain on Earth at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) above sea level.
