The pristine beauty of Nepal is enough to hypnotize millions of travellers all around the world. However, travellers do not have only one reason to visit Nepal. For various reasons, travelling to Nepal is the dream of millions of people worldwide. Nepal is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha and Mount Everest, the highest point o Earth. Kathmandu is a city of temples, the never-changing history of Nepal, 10 World Heritage Sites, 35+ popular trekking routes, 100+ beautiful lakes, cultural variation, national parks, peace and security, and affordable cost some of the alluring factors for the tourist to attract to Nepal.
2 New Airports in Nepal
The Government has been constructing 2 international airports for the easy accessibility of tourists. They are Gautam Buddha International Airport and Nijgadh International Airport.
The tourism industry has played a crucial role in the G.D.P of the country. So, people have engaged in the tourism business to earn their livelihood. In this sense, tourism is the backbone of Nepal. Similarly, by the travellers, Nepal has been compared to heaven because Nepal has the mesmerizing Himalayas, fascinating cultures and picturesque scenic beauty.
As tourism has greater scope and significant contribution to Nepal’s economy, the Government has advertised the programs in different media worldwide. The country-wise tourism promotion strategy is said to tap the outbound travellers of the neighbouring countries to Nepal. In the context of the rising number of outbound travellers, the ministry of tourism has reviewed the Air Service Agreement with multiple countries.
It’s true that the more the flow of tourists, the more the country gains. Nepal is no longer just an agricultural country. Our economy is sustained by foreign employment and tourism alongside agriculture. For a decade, Nepal bade goodbye to 10– years – long tragic civil war; as a result, the tourism industry has started to come out from its long hibernation. Nepal has to spread a good message to the world that it has risen from the devastating collapse caused by the 2015 Earthquake and has completed the renovation.
The main objective of Nepal tourism year 2020 is to inform the world that it is safe, an ideal time to visit Nepal and have age-long memories of the visit.
Spread of Covid 19
It’s sad news to all that the Government of Nepal has stopped this national campaign due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 worldwide. So, the Government has declared that they will launch the campaign in 2022 with a new vision and goals. We should appreciate the Government’s decision to halt the campaign due to the threat of deadly disease. It’s because of the safety of the people. When the world comes out of the agony of COVID-19, the Nepal Government will announce a “Visit Nepal year.”
