After a glorious success of past tourism years: Visit Nepal 1998, and Visit Nepal 2011, Ministry of Culture, tourism and civil aviation has announced a new tourism campaign, Visit Nepal 2020. The objective of this campaign is to promote Nepal as a tourism destination and to attract to million tourists in Nepal by the year 2020.
It’s slogan is “Lifetime Experiences’. For the overall success of this campaign, the government has separated 5 sectors to promote and develop. It includes People and Heritages, Nature and Wildlife, Culture and Leisure, Religion and Pilgrimage and lastly, Adventure and Outdoor. Those who are dreaming to visit Nepal can get the lifetime experiences through different affordable tour packages. Similarly, they can enjoy the beauty of Nepal in the cheapest cost with warm hospitality and luxuries never than before. So, it’s going to be major event in the fields of tourism.
Among the top 10 most visited places on the Earth and the best value destination in the world, Nepal comes at 5th and 1st position which is one of the main reasons behind this Campaign ‘Visit Nepal 2020’.
The pristine beauty of Nepal is enough to hypnotize millions of travelers all around the world. Travelers do not have only one reason to visit Nepal. Traveling to Nepal is the dream of millions of people from the around the world for various reasons. Our economy is sustained by foreign employment and tourism alongside agriculture. Since a decade, as Nepal bade goodbye to 10– years – long tragic civil war, as a result the tourism industry has started to come out from the long hibernation. Nepal has to spread a good message to entire world that it has risen up from the devastating collapse made from 2015 Earthquake and it has successfully completed the renovation works.
The main objective of Nepal tourism year 2020 is to inform the world that it is safe, ideal time to visit Nepal and have age long memories of the visit.
It’s sad news to all of us that the Government of Nepal has stopped this national campaign due to ongoing spread of COVID-19 throughout the world. So, it has been officially declared that the campaign will be launched in 2022 with new vision and goals. We should appreciate the government’s decision to halt the campaign due to the threat of deadly disease. It’s because of the safely of the people. When the world will come out of the agony of COVID-19, it can be announced again.
