A brief Himlung Himal Expedition Itinerary – 30 days

Days 1–2: Arrival and Kathmandu Preparation

Arrive in Kathmandu, explore heritage sites, and attend a pre-expedition briefing to prepare for the journey ahead.

Days 3–8: Trek to Manang

Drive to Besisahar and trek through Jagat, Dharapani, Chame, and Pisang, gradually gaining altitude. This section offers a true taste of Nepal trekking and mountaineering.

Days 9–14: Trek to Phu and Base Camp

Reach the remote village of Phu and proceed to Himlung Base Camp (4,900m). Rest and acclimatize to prepare your body for the high-altitude challenge.

Days 15–23: Higher Camps and Summit Push

Establish Camp I–III (5,450m–6,350m) and attempt the summit at 7,126m under the guidance of our expert Sherpa guides. This is the highlight of the Nepal high-altitude adventure.

Days 24–28: Descent Trek

Itinerary

Days 1-2:Arrival and Kathmandu Preparation

Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital. Settle into your hotel and enjoy some free time to explore local markets and cultural attractions. Attend a pre-expedition briefing, where our team will review your gear, discuss the route, and provide essential information about the trek and climbing safety. This is also a great opportunity to meet fellow climbers if you are joining a group departure.

Days 3–8:Trek to Manang

Drive to Besisahar and start trekking along the scenic Marshyangdi Valley. Pass through traditional villages like Jagat, Dharapani, Chame, and Pisang, gradually gaining altitude. Along the way, enjoy panoramic Himalayan views, terraced fields, and warm hospitality from local communities. Overnight stays at teahouses provide comfort and a chance to immerse in the culture.

Days 9–14:Trek to Phu and Base Camp

Continue trekking through the Manang region to reach the remote Phu village, a unique Tibetan-influenced settlement. Proceed to Himlung Base Camp (4,900m). Use rest days for acclimatization, explore the surrounding area, and prepare your body and mind for the summit climb.

Days 15–23:Higher Camps and Summit Push

Set up Camp I to Camp III at progressively higher altitudes (5,450m–6,350m). With guidance from experienced Sherpa climbers, attempt the summit of Himlung Himal (7,126m). This stage includes glacier travel, snow climbs, and steep ascents. Reaching the summit provides stunning views of nearby 7,000-meter peaks and the surrounding Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. Carefully descend to high camp after celebrating the summit.

Days 24–28:Descent Trek

Descend back through Phu village to the trailhead, enjoying the landscapes, local villages, and Himalayan scenery. This gradual descent ensures safety and allows time to reflect on your expedition.

Days 29–30: Return to Kathmandu and Departure

Drive back to Kathmandu, relax, and enjoy your last moments in the city. Explore local markets, enjoy Nepalese cuisine, and celebrate your successful expedition before departing.
