Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International airport, NepalHiking will arrange a pick-up service and transfer you to the hotel Kathmandu Suite Home, the hotel owned by NepalHiking. Overnight at the hotel, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 2Fly to Pokhara, drive to Kande and trek to Deurali (2100m)

After breakfast, you will leave the hotel by 8 am and transfer to the airport for your flight to Pokhara. Your flight boarding time will be at around between 9 and 10 am. It’s a half an hour’s flight to Pokhara airport. After reaching Pokhara airport, you will meet your guide and support team, drive to Kande (1-hour drive), and start your hike.

You will walk through the rhododendron forest. Then, by crossing the lodge settlement of the Australian camp, Pothana villages, you will reach Deurali, a ridge top of the village, in about 4-5 hours of walking. You will enjoy the scenic view of the Annapurna range. Overnight at the guesthouse, inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea/coffee.

Day 3Trek from Deurali to Forest Camp (2,520m)

After breakfast, you will head off the main Annapurna trekking route and follow the trail to Forest Camp with a gradual ascent, walking through the rhododendron forest. In about 5 hours of walking, you will reach Forest Camp for the night to stay. You will spend overnight at the teahouse lodge, including breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea/coffee.

Day 4Trek from Forest Camp to Low Camp (3,035m) 

Today you will gradually trek uphill through the rhododendron forest by following the ridge of the hills. You will enjoy the impressive close-up view of Mt. Mardi Himal and Mt. Fishtail. Within 3-4 hours of walking, you will reach your camp for an overnight stay. Overnight at teahouse lodge, including breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea/coffee.

Day 5Trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3,590m)

Leaving the Low Camp, the trail leads you further uphill through the ridge of the hill towards the direction of Mount Mardi Himal and Mount Fishtail. Soon, you will leave the tree line and enter the shrubby alpine zone. And meanwhile, you will see an impressive view of the snowcapped peaks of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli and the Fishtail. Finally, after 3-4 hours of walking, you will reach the High Camp for the night to stay. Overnight at teahouse lodge, including breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea/coffee.

Day 6Trek from High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m) and back to High Camp 

Today is your day trip to Mardi Himal Base Camp! Early morning, you will start your journey to Mardi Himal Base Camp, which could be tough and challenging even for experienced hikers due to the variation in altitude. Finally, you will gain a height of 1000 to reach the Mardi Himal Base Camp.

After 2 hours ascent hike to the ridge of the hill, you will arrive at Mardi Himal Base Camp, marked as MBC though this is not a real base camp. For the real base camp, you must have another 2 hours along the ridge of the hill. Undoubtedly, views of the mountains, including the snow-capped mountains such as Mardi Himal, Fishtail, Gangapurna, Annapurna I, and Annapurna III, are outstanding. Altogether, it will take approximately 7-8 hours to hike to MBC and return to High Camp. You will spend the night at the High Camp at teahouse lodge, including breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea/coffee.

Day 7Trek from High Camp to Siding Village (1,750m) 

After breakfast, you will descend to the Low Camp following the same trail you went up to the High Camp. After reaching the Low Camp, you will follow the trail to the Mardi Khola, the river that flows from the Mardi Himal. After a further downhill walk, you will reach Sirding village. It will be about 4 hours of walking today. Overnight at teahouse lodge, including breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea/coffee.

Day 8Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, you will drive to Pokhara, which takes about 2 hours. After check-in hotel in Pokhara, you can relax and enjoy walking around the lake city of Pokhara. Overnight at the hotel, inclusive of breakfast and lunch.

Day 9Fly back to Kathmandu (30 min), transfer to hotel

Your flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu will be between 11 am-12 pm. It’s just a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel to Pokhara airport. A car transfer will be arranged to reach the airport 1 hour before boarding the flight. Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel, including breakfast.

Day 10Depart from Kathmandu

For an international flight, you are advised to be at the airport about 3 hours before departure. According to your flight schedule, NepalHiking will arrange your airport transfer and bid you farewell, hoping to visit again on your next trip to Nepal.
