Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Pick up and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2Kathmandu

Preparation of Mustang Special Permit. You can do sightseeing at Kathmandu Heritage sites (optional). Overnight at hotel with breakfast.

Day 3Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast:

  • Leave the hotel by 9 am.
  • Drive 200 km to Pokhara (6-7 hours of driving).
  • Enjoy the landscapes while driving. 
  • Overnight at the hotel, inclusive of breakfast

Day 4Drive to Tatopani (hot spring)

After breakfast, you will drive to Tatopani. In the evening, you will enjoy hot springs at the bank of Kaligandaki river. Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 5Drive to Kagbeni

On the way, visit village Thin with Sakyo Gompa, Hutsaptempga Gompa & village Syang. Tour to Kagbeni village and monastery. Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 6Drive to Syangboche (3800m) via Samar (3660m)

On the way visit of Tiri Gaon, Chhusang / Kunza Choling, medizin-Temple /Mentsi Lhakhang anf Samar village. Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 7Drive to Tsarang/Charang (3560m)

On the way, visit Rangchuyung Hohlen-Chorten, Ghiling/Geling Chorten, Sukya Gompa and Manimauer, Dhakmar/Tramar with the red cliffs and monastery, red rocks of Dhakmar/Tramar and monastery. In Tsarang/Charang, visit Lo Gekar Gompa, Thubten Shedrup Dhargyeling, & ruins of the old king’s palace. Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 8Drive to Lo Manthang (3809m)

Morning drive to Ghar Gompa later continues travel to Lo Manthang (3809m), sightseeing of Lo Manthang, Besuch von Champa Lhakhang, Thubchen Lhakhang, Shakya Chyodi Gompa & the king’s palace (outside). Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 9Lo-Manthang

Drive to the Tibetan border* and back to Lo Manthang. Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

*sometimes not allowed to drive to the border. In this situation, you will travel surroundings of the region.

Day 10Drive to Chusang (2980m)

Drive back to Chusang (2980m) village of Manthang and a short walk to Tetang. Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 11Drive to Muktinath and then to Marpha

Drive Muktinath (3760m), Temples and sightseeing, later drive to Marpha village via Jomsom. Overnight at the lodge, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 12Drive to Pokhara

Drive back to Pokhara. Overnight at the hotel, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 13Return to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel, inclusive of breakfast.

Day 14Departure

After breakfast, you will drive to the airport (2-3 hours earlier to boarding time).
