Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey or explore the lively streets of Thamel. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a short briefing and final trek preparations.

Day 2 –Fly to Lukla (2,860 m) & Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

Take an early morning flight to Lukla with spectacular Himalayan views. Upon arrival, begin a gentle trek through pine forests and traditional Sherpa villages to Phakding, following the beautiful Dudh Koshi River.

Walking Time: 3–4 hours
Highlights: Scenic mountain flight, suspension bridges, riverside trails

Day 3 –Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Continue trekking through forests and across several suspension bridges before making the final ascent to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant heart of the Khumbu region. Weather permitting, enjoy your first views of Mount Everest along the way.

Day 4 – Acclimatisation Day in Namche Bazaar

A rest and acclimatisation day to help your body adjust to the altitude. Optional short hikes are available to Everest View Hotel or nearby villages for panoramic mountain scenery.

Day 5 – Namche Bazaar to Thame (3,800 m)

Leave the main Everest trail behind and follow a quieter route towards the traditional Sherpa village of Thame. Surrounded by mountains and prayer flags, the village offers a peaceful atmosphere and fascinating local culture.

Walking Time: 4–5 hours
Highlights: Mani walls, monasteries, traditional Sherpa settlement

Day 6Thame to Khumjung (3,780 m)

Trek through beautiful mountain landscapes towards Khumjung, home to the famous Hillary School and one of the oldest monasteries in the region.

Highlights: Khumjung village, monastery visits, mountain panoramas

Day 7 – Khumjung to Phortse (3,810 m)

Follow quieter trails with impressive views of Ama Dablam and surrounding Himalayan peaks. Phortse is a charming mountain village known for its strong climbing heritage.

Day 8 – Phortse to Pangboche (3,985 m)

Continue through alpine landscapes towards Pangboche, home to one of the oldest monasteries in the Everest region.

Day 9 – Pangboche to Dingboche (4,410 m)

Gradually ascend above the tree line as the landscapes become more dramatic and rugged. Dingboche offers spectacular views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam.

Day 10 – Acclimatisation Day in Dingboche

A second acclimatisation day before heading to higher elevations. Optional hikes to Nagarjun Hill provide magnificent panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

Day 11 – Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940 m)

Trek alongside glacial moraines and dramatic mountain landscapes as you continue deeper into the Khumbu Valley.

Day 12 – Lobuche → Gorak Shep → Everest Base Camp → Gorak Shep

One of the most exciting days of the trek. Reach Everest Base Camp and stand beside the famous Khumbu Icefall before returning to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 13 – Kala Patthar Sunrise & Trek to Pheriche (4,371 m)

Early morning climb to Kala Patthar for unforgettable sunrise views over Mount Everest and surrounding Himalayan giants. Afterwards, descend to Pheriche.

Day 14 – Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

Descend through rhododendron forests and traditional Sherpa villages while enjoying warmer temperatures and familiar trails.

Day 15 – Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Continue trekking back to Lukla, crossing suspension bridges and passing through forests and mountain settlements.

Day 16 – Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. After transferring to your hotel, the remainder of the day is free for shopping, cafés, sightseeing, or simply relaxing after your trek.

Day 17 – Free Day in Kathmandu

A flexible day in Kathmandu for rest, sightseeing, or additional buffer time in case of Lukla flight delays. Optional cultural tours can also be arranged.

Day 18 – Final Departure

Transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for your onward journey home, taking with you unforgettable memories of the Everest region.
