The next morning, fly to Lukla, the gateway to Everest (Elevation: 2,860 meters), also known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport, and begin your trek to Phakding (Elevation: 2,610 meters).

Continue to the vibrant Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar (Elevation: 3,440 meters), the gateway to Everest. Take a side trip to Thame Village (Elevation: 3,800 meters) for acclimatization and stunning views.

Next, trek to Tengboche (Elevation: 3,860 meters) to visit the historic Tengboche Buddhist Monastery and enjoy views of Everest and Ama Dablam. Continue to Dingboche (Elevation: 4,410 meters) for acclimatization and a hike to Nangkartshang Hill (Elevation: 5,083 meters) for spectacular views.
